Yoga is a practice which continuously cultivates the body, mind, and heart. It is a sanctuary where you can come to wring out your body, center the mind, and acknowledge your heart. I apply my student disposition to all things yoga, and I bring my love of teaching to it's unreachable shores.

What Yoga Can Do For You

PRANA FLOW/FORREST YOGA - What Shiva's classes are like

The focus is becoming awake in our bodies, bringing consciousness to formerly shut off areas, building strength, and creating space in our bodies, removing stuckness and congestion. My main styles of teaching are Forrest Yoga and Prana Flow. The room is heated (80-85 degrees) to induce a gentle, cleansing sweat. This is a mixed level class that is suitable for beginners who are willing to be challenged. Prana Flow is an energetic, creative, full-spectrum approach to embodying the flow of yoga. It cultivates inner and outer strength and fluidity, skill and intuition, vital energy and relaxed being, activation and receptivity through balanced and creative fluid sequences (vinyasas).

HOT YOGA - What Meeghan's classes are like

The room is heated to 85-95 degrees and the yoga class follows a precise series of 26 postures designed to strengthen, lengthen, and tone muscles, strengthen the spine, relieve pain, increase balance, coordination, focus and discipline, and balance hormonal function.

The heated room adds the following benefits:

-warms the muscles for greater flexibility
-weight loss by balancing metabolism
-detoxifies the body by flushing toxins out
-improves the efficiency of the immune system
-helps achieve a deeper stretch
-reduces sports injury
-reduces aches and pains

ALL CLASSES

Bring water to drink. You should wear clothes that you can move easily in, layers are good as the class tends to start off cool and get hotter. Be prepared to sweat! Props and mats are provided, though you are welcome to bring your own. We do have all natural eco-friendly mats for sale at our studio.
